Why do some evolutionists think that 'abiogenesis'...?

Miller/Urey started the ball rolling and a few dozen people since then have duplicated it in some manner and several others have stepped off into other ideas with similar results. The basics of life have been generated in labs, but it will take a few billion year to actually "create life", but since it does not happen right before their eyes fundies refuse to accept any of it.
