Can our universe be explained as a giant molecule?

As all materials and objects exist, through atoms and molecules, could our entire universe be considered a highly complicated, quasi-intelligent interweb of laws and reactions constantly changing and recreating itself to maintain time and the perpetual harmony of past present and future?
